This 300-hour Yoga Therapy course brings together our vast experience of over 30
years as therapists and teachers of various healing techniques with our passion and
knowledge of classical Hatha Yoga. The course covers a wide range of topics based on anatomy and physiology, bio-mechanics of the body, music therapy, vibration, sound healing, shiatsu, Chinese medicine and kinesiology and, of course, an in-depth knowledge based on a strong classical Yoga lineage. This programme offers a great opportunity for a deep personal healing experience and offer a higher understanding in the teaching of yoga to professional level.
After successful completion of the programme, graduates will receive a diploma of
completion as “Yoga Therapist 300h” and will be able to register with Yoga Alliance
International as “Yoga Master 500h” teachers.
 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This 300-hour Yoga Therapy Course, valid for accreditation to the 500-hour Master Yoga Teacher Training (YAI certified), is an intensive 4-week journey into healing through the exploration of the subtleties of asanas, pranayama, the healing properties of ancient matras and vibrations, their energetic links to the chakras and other subtle bodies, as well as modern yogic anatomy, physiology and psychology.
This course successfully blends the ancient knowledge of Yoga Chikitsa (the inherent
healing properties of yoga), with aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, massage,
acupuncture and structural body-work. Because of its structure and integrated view, we consider our course unique.
You will also learn how to assess the health of your patients using various methods of
palpation, postural observation and structural assessment, listening skills, detailed
history taking and interpretation of signs and symptoms of imbalance and disease.
 

THE COURSE PROGRAMME IS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Introduction to Yoga Chikitsa and the concepts of 'Salutogenesis' (health promotion).
2. Asana, pranayama, sound, mantra and integrative medicine for the following body
systems and districts: spine and back (how to treat the most common disorders such as scoliosis, hyper lordosis or kyphosis etc.), gastric and intestinal functional disorders, dealing with the main joints of the body, the nervous system and pain management, the circulatory and respiratory system, the digestive system, the urinary system, the endocrine and immune system, sexual disorders, dealing with cancer patients and degenerative disease.
3. Observation. (posture, spine, facial diagnosis, movements, etc.).

4. Yoga Psychology and the Chakras.
5. Basic notions of Chinese Medicine and organ theory
6. Treatment methods. ( Asanas, in-depth understanding, restorative yoga, use of props. Meridian stretching; tonifying organs, Chakras and specific muscle groups. Breathing, mindfulness and pranayama; meditation and body scanning.
7. Relaxation techniques (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual).
8. Nutrition and eating habits.
9. Manual techniques ( Basic prone and supine Shiatsu, kinesiology, main acu-points.
Chakra balancing, basic hip, shoulder girdle and diaphragm adjustments, neck, head
and shoulder management).
10. Assessment methods. Detailed interview; i.e. questions and evaluation of
answers (questions on digestion, stool, sleep, pain, gynaecology, etc.).
11. Theory. (Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. The Chakras, relation between
Nadis and Chinese Acupuncture Meridians . The workings of subtle energy or
Prana. Yoga Psychology based on the Charkas and the 5 Koshas. The 5 Vayus.
Philosophy and Spirituality; choosing the path, purpose, meaning and goals of
life; detachment and transcendence).
12. Prerequisites. Students enrolling on this 300 Hour Yoga Course are expected
to be qualified Yoga Teachers at the 200 hour level from any school
13. Accreditation. This course is fully accredited by Yoga Alliance International.
Students will receive YAI and SYM certifications.

COSTS
The cost of the course includes tuition, accommodation, course manual and Yoga Alliance International certification. Food is not included, the students will be allocated in two large appartments with fully fitted kitchens. Usually students arrange themselves with shopping and cooking. This can be a lot of fun ( for this reason we have lowered the price considerabòly)
